We see lines of light everywhere. You’ve probably run calculations for linear area lighting for everything from office spaces to schools and healthcare facilities. But have you ever opened up a linear fixture and seen what it takes to build, hang and service a liner fixture? How does lensing work?
For this session, we’ll head to the Coronet showroom and open up some of their most popular linear families to review how these pieces go together and what goes into making a linear system that really works.
In this session, we will use Ecosense Trov and Rise to demonstrate different ways of lighting a facade, from grazing to path lighting. Ecosense Trov and Rise products have been used on countless projects nationwide to stunning effect. You’ll get to play with the different luminaries and play with orientation, spacing, and accessories to learn all the fine details that make for successful facade lighting.
Most of us know what a recessed downlight looks like below the ceiling, and even if you’ve rendered them dozens of times, there’s nothing like getting on a ladder and actually aiming one. In this session you’ll have the opportunity to play with optics, get your hands inside a recessed fixture, understand how different aperture sizes affect aiming and maintenance, and learn more about USAI’s modular approach to fixture design.
In this session you’ll get to test various combinations of tape lights and extrusions, we’ll talk through what a contractor needs to do in the field to get tape light runs coordinated and installed, we’ll also talk about optics, drivers, and connectors and don’t forget. The dreaded VOLTAGE DROP!
