Open lab Workshops from 12pm-4pm with a buffet Lunch provided

Tape light is an inexpensive and flexible solution or so many desired lighting effects. But it is so easy to go from a beautifully designed lighting scheme to a mess and so our first session the Young Designers Series is meant to go through some of the pitfalls and details round specifying and designing with tape light.

In this session, we will,

• Test different tapes and extrusions in combination

• Play with new flexible solutions for curved cove conditions

• Demonstrate what a contractor has to do to install tape and extrusion (cut, connectors, wire runs)

• Discuss the pros and cons of factory-complete fixtures versus contractor-built tape and channel

• Demonstrate optics

• Talk about drivers and the dreaded voltage drop
