Soon, The Word Hybrid Will Disappear
Good Morning Friends!
I am facing a problem that I thought wouldn't be an issue for a few more months...finding time to make content. Projects have heated up to the point of needing daily attention, and I am physically in the city in meetings and presentations often enough that I'm not able to just sit in the shed and produce videos as I had been.
This is a good problem to have! I love seeing specifiers in person and getting out into the world. Here's the reality, the word "hybrid" is soon going to fade from our vocabulary - everything will be hybrid soon enough. In a way, everything already was, cut sheets and fixture documentation live online. We manage our work primarily through email and other text messaging. The future of presentations will inevitably include folks who are signing in remotely, conferences will have virtual elements, even if people are attending live. We have to be able to exist in both spaces and move between the two seamlessly if we are going to do our jobs in the future.
Meet the Pro-Tools 3” Downlight from Inter-Lux
This week is a good example. Today our friends at Inter-Lux are live all day introducing their 3" ProTools downlights via zoom.
My hope is that you can jump in for a few minutes and learn about this versatile new downlight option (the number of trims/optics/mountings is pretty incredible) and then we can follow up with an in-person demonstration.
Tomorrow night we get W.I.L.D
I'm so looking forward to WILD's return to live events tomorrow night in Central Park. SDA lighting is a sponsor of the event and I can't wait to stop by in support. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you can still snag one here.
Looking forward to seeing you all this week, whether it's virtually or in-person. Stay well, and keep doing amazing work!
