Lighting a NYC Public School with HE Williams

HE Williams + The SCA

Over the last few years, I and the team at SDA have worked with HE Williams to successfully light a number of NY City public schools through our work with the NY School Construction Authority. It’s been immensely satisfying to work with the SCA team as well as outside consultants to bring these lighting designs to fruition.

Heading into 2021, I wanted to make it even easier for architects, engineers, and the team at the SCA to specify HEW products. So I’m proud to announce the launch of my design guide to lighting a NYC Public School with HE Williams.

The guide will take you through lighting key spaces including:

Why an Online Guide?

I struggled over the question of whether or not to develop this guide as a downloadable PDF or have it live online. I decided, ultimately, to do this online for a few reasons.

1. As new fixtures are developed from HE Williams they can find their way into the design guide.

2. As standards are updated, fixture recommendations and performance notes can also be updated.

3. Easy links directly to relevant products.
