Announcing the Summer Series for Young Designers

When the pandemic hit, no one knew what it would do to the lighting community. I am happy to say that the demand for lighting design and consultation only seemed to increase through the pandemic, leading to a flurry of hiring young designers from various training programs and outside of the lighting industry.

But because of the nature of remote work and hybrid schedules many younger designers have never gotten to touch so many of the lighting tools that more seasoned designers have hands-on experience with. While we can do a lot in AGI, there’s no substitution for seeing light with your own eyes and engaging with these tools with your own hands.

In response is the Summer Series for young designers.

From July 19th to August 23rd, every Wednesday from 12 pm - 4 pm, I will be partnering with one of my factories to demonstrate a core lighting product, and give younger designers the chance to see how they are put together, the subtle ways they can be adjusted to create totally different lighting effects.
