Prior to COVID-19 one of the big trends we were seeing in office design was the move toward more acoustically friendly spaces. In an office with a carpeted floor, cloth lined cubicles and acoustical tile ceilings, achieving quiet is easy. The problem is current design trends use elements like polished concrete floors and wide open ceilings, this might make for a cooler looking, more industrial feeling space, but acoustically it's a nightmare.
ALW is addressing this with their Harmonics collection. The addition of acoustical baffling to the body of linear fixtures is something we've seen lots of lighting manufacturers do, but ALW has gone a step further by incorporating this acoustical fabric across the span of their rings, ALW is offering the possibility of more surface area, and therefore more sound dampening.
Lots of folks might be talking about acoustical fabric, but ALW has brought the option to the fore with design flare that makes it a forward looking choice for the modern office.
