VIDEO: Using Different Light Distributions To Transform You Space
My experiments with content creation continue today. Today I attempted a lunch time webinar geared for architects. The topic was using different lighting distributions to change spaces. The 15 minute webinar above goes through some of the different distributions and their purposes.
Washing Versus Grazing
Wash lighting is essentially bathing a surface evenly from a distance away. When you wash a surface you usually flatten it's texture and make the surface itself glow. Grazing is more scraping light up the surface from a location very close to the target. This enhances texture and reveals the undulations of a given space.
L35 has a 120 degree wash optic. Optimal for cove lighting.
The L50 offers optics this 70x70 wash optic allows for covering a fixed amount of space at a distance.
This 9x29 optic is tight and meant for grazing.

Optics Transform Space
The images above are meant to give a sense for what happens when these concepts are applied. Optics and their proper use can transform a space with simplicity and grace. Ecosense can accomplish these different optics on the interior or the exterior with a simple easy to install form factor.
